Bedford Butterfly Park is a fantastic place to visit, with or without small people.  The butterflies are wonderfully coloured and huge, their wings flapping like birds.  Last time I visited there were also some reptiles and some other insects and spiders.  If you love butterflies then you will love standing in the heated butterfly house.
