I remember my mother taking me down to the railway line to watch the train taking the body of Winston Churchill home (or to London, I'm not sure which)............I was quite little and didn't know why we were watching, but I just liked watching the trains anyway!! JC
Talking of trains I also remember standing on the bridge over the railway line waiting expectantly for the steam to engulf us as the train passed underneath. Fabulous (but must be bad for the lungs!). JC
